2015 - First Ever Planning Meeting
Discovery
Back in 2015, a group of alumni from Warren County High School in Front Royal, Virginia wanted to perform on stage again. Thus, the idea to put on a showcase consisting of monologues, scenes, and musical acts was put into action. The showcase would be performed by past and present students of the WCHS Theatre Department.
Now inspired by the success of the show, Nostalgia Theatre was created to help other high schools raise funds for their theatre department. However, it is open for anyone to join the cast & crew to help benefit that school.
Mission
Our mission is to raise funds for local high school theatre departments by having a showcase with a variety of sales: bake sale, art sale, show memorabilia sale, and raffle baskets. All proceeds benefit the school's department! In addition, it is our intent to raise awareness for the importance of the arts in our education and everyday lives.
Goal
Being a developing non-profit, it is in our hopes to become an official 501(c) 3 non-profit organization one day. We wish to grow in the surrounding towns to help other schools raise funds and awareness for their art programs. Additionally, we hope to be able to put on professional shows in the future too.
